On the 11th December 2009, the Stars for Charity Concert was held at MFCC in Ta’ Qali. It was a great and spectacular night and the theatre was packed with music enthusiasts. The sum of 12,500 Euro was donated to Dun Gorg Grima in aid of the missionary movement ‘Jesus in thy Neighbour’.

The AX Holdings Long Service Awards were recently held at Seashells Resort at Suncrest in Qawra, in which 35 employees received recognition for an aggregate total of 525 years of loyal service with the Group. The ceremony was followed by a reception.

During the most recent corporate event held by the AX Group, employees donated blood in a bid to help save the lives of those that are dependant on local blood supplies. AX Group employees, led by their chairman Angelo Xuereb, recently donated blood at the Donation Mobile Unit situated outside their head office.
 

Over a period of two weeks, The AX Foundation was instrumental in raising funds for a number of organizations.

The Valletta Waterfront, Malta today welcomed the arrival of the ½-millionth cruise passenger for 2008. The passenger, Shannon Berg, of Jacksonville, Florida, was onboard the spectacular Norwegian Gem which cruises Mediterranean destinations.

To celebrate the event, which is an important milestone for the local cruise industry and the Valletta Waterfront’s cruise liners passenger terminal in particular, Ms Berg was awarded a return flight for two from a destination operated by Air Malta, courtesy of the national airline, and a seven-night stay at The Palace boutique hotel in Sliema for two, together with spa treatments and a free dinner. She was also handed a commemorative plaque by Bristow Potteries and a Malta 360° book.

Claire Zammit Xuereb is a well established hotelier who is General Manager of the long established Victoria Hotel, the recently opened five star The Palace and the adjacent 200 year-old Palazzo Capua.

AX Holdings Ltd has recently announced two new appointments, Mr Nicholas Saliba to the post of Group Administration and Human Resources Manager and Ms Denise Xuereb as Administration Executive.
